Privacy Policy

As used herein, App ("App") as used herein refers to the SCOUTINGZONE® mobile site/application and other sites on the World Wide Web (including sites designed to be accessed by browsers using Wireless Application Protocol) originating in the United States which are owned and/or operated by SCOUTINGZONE, LLC ("SCOUTINGZONE®"). Club ("Club") as used herein refers to an entity that will send a team to a particular tournament. Player ("Player") as used herein refers to a member of a Club team participating in a particular tournament. Tournament ("Tournament") as used herein refers to a sanctioning body of a competition where Club teams participate. Recruiter/Coach ("Scout") as used herein refers to a person utilizing the information on the App.

By accessing and using the App, you expressly accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy ("Policy") if you do not wish to be bound by the Policy, you have no license to use the App and should cease use immediately.

SCOUTINGZONE® reserves the right to modify the Policy in any way, at any time. Any and all such modifications will take effect immediately after SCOUTINGZONE® provides notice. Notice may be given by posting on the App, via electronic communication, in writing, and/or any other means that provides reasonable notice. Any further use of the App after such reasonable notice has been provided shall constitute acceptance of the modified Policy.

INFORMATION SHARING POLICY

SCOUTINGZONE® is aware of the many concerns with personal information privacy in the digital environment in which we live. In order to assure those posting information on our database of the proper use of posted information, the following are steps SCOUTINGZONE® takes to regulate who may have access to information uploaded to our site:

  • SCOUTINGZONE® does not sell or lease information uploaded to our site to any third parties.
  • All information uploaded by a player is password protected and is not open to the public, rather it is only available to certain college coaches, soccer scouts, and tournament directors (collectively "Scouts").
  • All Scouts must agree to be bound by SCOUTINGZONE's terms and conditions and privacy policy in order to access any information uploaded by a player.
  • Scouts can only gain access to the information uploaded by a player through password protected tournaments.
  • Player profiles can be edited by the player who uploaded the information at any time.
  • If a player wishes to have his/her profile deactivated, the player may do so at any time by contacting support@scoutingzone.com.

Although we cannot guarantee that unsavory digital actors, such as hackers and the like, will not infiltrate SCOUTINGZONE's site, we will use our best efforts to protect each player's personal information uploaded to our site from such attacks. If you feel that your information has been misappropriated in any way please contact SCOUTINGZONE® at once. Protection of your information is our priority.

Collection & Use of Information

  1. Personally-Identifying Information

    SCOUTINGZONE®, stores personally-identifying information when a Content Provider enters player, team or tournament information in the Apps database or when Recruiters register for the App. This personally-identifying information may include your name, address (street address, city, state, and zip code), contact information (e.g., e-mail address and telephone numbers), and other identifiers that permit SCOUTINGZONE® to contact you directly.

    SCOUTINGZONE® reserves the right to, make personally-identifying information available to other companies so that they may also offer promotions, products, programs, and/or services of interest to you. If you prefer not to receive such offers from other companies, please contact SCOUTINGZONE® immediately.

    SCOUTINGZONE® shall disclose personally-identifying information in response to legal process, such as a request by law enforcement, a court order or subpoena, or to protect the integrity of the App if SCOUTINGZONE® believes that a guest has committed unlawful or otherwise harmful acts.

  2. Non-Personally-Identifying Information

    SCOUTINGZONE® may from time to time collect non-personally-identifying information for the purposes of App administration and updates, and to compile aggregate information about usage of the App. To learn more about how SCOUTINGZONE® would use a third party service to collect and use non-personally-identifying information on the App, contact us.

    SCOUTINGZONE® does not now, but reserves the right to, provide non-personally-identifying information with third parties for advertising and promotional purposes.

  3. Use of Information

    All information uploaded to the App by the Club/Player and/or Tournament shall be the property of SCOUTINGZONE® including all copyrights and other intellectual property contained or uploaded to the App. All Clubs grant SCOUTINGZONE® a nonexclusive license to use any trademarks owned by said Club on the App in association with the Club's member teams and/or Players. SCOUTINGZONE® shall have the right to use any information loaded onto the App for any purpose including, but not limited to, displaying player, Club and tournament information to Scouts.

    Scouts registered to use the App shall not distribute, redistribute or make any commercial use whatsoever of the information contained on the App. Scouts shall not create any derivative work from the information contained on the App. If any Scout wishes to use the information contained on the App for any reason, said Scout must obtain consent from SCOUTINGZONE®, Tournament, Club and the individual player or their respective legal guardian.

    In addition to the foregoing, SCOUTINGZONE® may share or disclose personally-identifying information about you to other companies or individuals if any of the following occur:
    1. SCOUTINGZONE® uses third party service providers to provide products, services or functions on its behalf (such as sending emails or processing credit cards or fulfilling subscriptions). SCOUTINGZONE® asks these service providers to agree to maintain the confidentiality of your personally-identifying information and not to use such information for any reason except to carry out the purpose(s) for which SCOUTINGZONE® hired them;
    2. SCOUTINGZONE® needs to protect its legal rights (such as collecting money owned to SCOUTINGZONE®);
    3. SCOUTINGZONE® must comply with applicable laws, regulations, and/or legal or regulatory process;
    4. In connection with a sale, merger, transfer, exchange, or other disposition (of assets, stock, or otherwise) of all or a portion of the business conducted by the Site.

  4. IP Addresses

    An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your internet service provider whenever you log on to the Web. When you request pages from the Site, web servers automatically identify and log your computers IP address.

    SCOUTINGZONE® collects IP addresses only for the purpose of system administration and to report aggregate information to advertisers, corporate affiliates, consultants, and/or third parties who perform a particular service for SCOUTINGZONE®. SCOUTINGZONE® does not combine IP addresses with other personally-identifying information or compile any session activity reports by IP address.

  5. Cookies

    Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's electronic device for record-keeping purposes. Cookies make web-surfing easier for you by saving your passwords, purchases, and preferences while you are online. The use of cookies is an industry standard. You will find them at most major Web sites.

    A cookie allows SCOUTINGZONE® to store the personal preferences that you set during each visit to the Site, which in turn speeds up your future activities at the Site. Letting cookies do the record-keeping saves you the trouble of entering information over and over again. If you are a subscriber of SCOUTINGZONE® and have registered, an identifying cookie will be placed on your computer. During future visits to the App, SCOUTINGZONE® will only read and retrieve information set in a cookie during an earlier visit to the App. Advertisers do not have access to the App's cookies.

  6. Minors

    Minors (individuals under 18 years of age) should always ask parents for permission before providing any personal information online. No information should be submitted to or posted on the App by any minor without the consent of a parent or guardian. If Club or Tournament enters or uploads any personally-identifying information about a minor, Club or Tournament must obtain permission from said minor's legal guardian prior to said entry or upload. Club and/or Tournament shall indemnify and hold SCOUTINGZONE® harmless from any action commenced whereby the basis of said action relates to the disclosure of personally-identifying information about a minor.

  7. Public Forums

    Whenever you disclose information online in chat rooms, message boards, or similar posting areas, that information can be viewed, collected, and used by anyone. Therefore, do not disclose any information in such areas that you do not want made available to the general public. SCOUTINGZONE® is not responsible for the consequences of such disclosures including, but not limited to, unsolicited communications.

  8. Security

    The App has implemented certain safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and to make proper use of the information that SCOUTINGZONE® collects. Nevertheless, no transmission of data over the internet can ever be completely secure. Thus, while SCOUTINGZONE® strives to protect your personal information, it cannot absolutely guarantee the security of any information that you provide.
